Adjusting to new norms - Larry speaking at the CAAA Winter Convention via Zoom.

Lawrence "Larry" Stern of Mallery & Stern presented today at the California Applicants' Attorneys Association 2021 Winter Convention.

The program titled "Case Headnotes: Understanding How to Secure the Most Accurate Disability for an Injured Worker" focused on methods beyond the strict rating under the AMA Guides to establish more accurate impairment and disability ratings for California's injured workers. Besides Larry Stern, the prestigious panel also included the Honorable Clint Fedderson and attorneys Elliot Berkowitz, Sherry Grant, Alan Gurvey, and Mark Gearheart.

Larry's presentation included tips on deposing doctors and utilizing the Kite Decision to have the doctors most accurately define an injured workers' level of impairment. Larry also discussed using vocational evidence and the basis for such under the AMA Guides.
