Prop 22 has resulted in every major gig company raising prices in California. Prop 22 was pushed by the gig employers to have their workers remain independent contractors. One argument made by the employers was that if Prop 22 did not pass and their workers were considered employees, they would need to raise prices. So why are prices rising?
